Having graduated from the University of Melbourne with combined Arts/Law degrees, Benjamin obtained a graduate diploma in journalism from RMIT University and was admitted to practice in August 2006.

Since being admitted to practice Benjamin has regularly appeared at Court pre-hearings and mediation, VCAT compulsory conferences, and retail leases mediation at the offices of the SBC.

Benjamin practices predominantly in litigation and takes a pro-active, client-inclusive approach.

He has experience in the following areas:

Commercial disputes:
Debt, contract, fair trading conduct matters for both businesses and consumers
Legal professional costs recovery and negligence

Entertainment disputes:
Copyright and trade mark infringement, misleading and deceptive conduct
Agent/principal and/or Contract disputes involving managers, artists/performers, and producers in the film, television and music industries

Property disputes:
acting for vendors and purchasers of both real property and businesses, in large transactions
managing leased property portfolios for landlords with multiple tenants
advising tenants entering into or renewing leases with landlords.

Employment disputes, largely involving the pre-reform Awards and Workplace Relations Act 1996
