Jan joined Marshalls & Dent in 1997 and has now been practising in family law for over 20 years.

Jan has a Masters Degree in Law and spent 10 years as a Registrar of the Family Court in Melbourne, Hobart and Newcastle before joining our Family Law Team.

Jan is experience in all areas of family law with a particular interest in issues relating to domestic violence, child abuse and substance abuse.

Jan currently sits on the Mental Health Review Board and is a part time member of the Small Claims and Residential Tenancy Tribunal.  Jan is also an active member of Zonta International. 

Jan has also completed a post graduate studies in Mediation at Melbourne University and International Arbitration at Cambridge Univeristy, England.
