Jeffrey was admitted to practice in 1981 and has expertise in property and commercial law including security documentation and institution lending. He has worked with property developers, individuals, corporate landlords and tenants, to provide advice on a range of commercial and residential property matters such as Sale of Business Agreements, Leases, Land Development Agreements, Hotel Management Agreements and has been an integral part of a number of hotel/residential developments and student accommodation projects in the CBD and regional centres including the highly successful redevelopment of the Heritage listed Victorian Railways Building (Grand Central Apartments and the Grand Hotel managed by Sofitel) and the redevelopment of Steam Packet Place in Geelong, the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel, Geelong and College House Student Accommodation at both Swanston and Lonsdale Streets Melbourne.
Jeffrey has also acted on behalf of financial institutions such as Citibank Limited, Perpetual Trustees, Macquarie Bank acting on behalf of property developers using a wide variety of financial products. As such he is aware of the needs of both financiers and their clients.
In addition, Jeffrey is a member of a number of sections of the Law Institute, sits on the Commercial Leases Committee, and thus maintains a day to day awareness of evolving changes and developing issues of law. Jeffrey has also given lectures to the legal profession in commercial tenancy law and in respect of Sales of Business.
Jeffrey´s experience in commercial law is extensive having acted for the small entrepreneur to national and multinational corporations and having given advice and negotiated transactions in respect of Trade Practices, Intellectual Property and has developed substantial expertise in responding to Government (both State and Federal) and corporate tenders and quotations.
