John was admitted to practice in April, 1979 and practises exclusively in the area of Family Law.  He is the Senior Family Law Partner of Marshalls & Dent and has a wealth of experience in a range of complex Family Law and De Facto situations. He has particular expertise in complex financial matters including providing advice in relation to intricate financial structures and superannuation.

John prides himself on being able to advise his clients promptly in relation to their entitlements and supports that advice by way of written confirmation.

Over the years John has been involved in a number of leading Family Law cases and has served as Deputy Chairman of the Family Law Section of the Law Institute of Victoria and as a member of the Family Law Executive of the Law Institute of Victoria.

John is also a trained Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer.
