Kris Darmody
B.A LL.B.

Kris holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Arts from degree both from Monash University.  She joined Marshalls  & Dent in January 2007, having worked in-house for four years at the Australian Children’s Television Foundation.  Prior to this Kris spent two years working in the Intellectual Property department at Middleton’s Lawyers, working predominantly in the areas of design and trade mark law.

Kris is currently on the Melbourne Queer Film Festival Board, and has been a past board member of Arena Theatre Company and the Melbourne Midsumma Festival, where she held the position of Chair for two years.

Recent projects Kris has worked on include the feature films “Hating Alison Ashley”,  “Not Quite Hollywood” , “Disgrace” and “The Square”; FFC funded documentaries “Seed Hunter” and “Two Men and a Baby Part Two; children’s television series “Noah & Saskia”  and “Mortified” and telemovie “Emerald Falls”.

Since joining Marshall’s & Dent Kris has worked to form new relationships with local and interstate producers, and film funding bodies. She is passionate about the cultural significance of the production of Australian content, and the role she can play to facilitate this.
