Margaret graduated from Law at Monash University in 1989 after obtaining an Honours Degree in Social Work and having practiced as a Social Worker.

After completing her Law Degree she commenced working in a general legal practice in Wantirna. As a sole practitioner she gained experience in many areas of law including property (with emphasis on Retirement Village accommodation for retired people), Wills and Probate, and Litigation.

She joined Marshalls & Dent in 1997 and practises primarily in the fields of Wills and Probate and in non commercial litigation in the Supreme and County Courts, specifically personal injuries, de facto law and applications in relation to Part IV of the Wills and Probate Act.

Margaret brings a common sense approach to Estate Planning, Wills, Testamentary Trusts and associated matters such as Enduring Powers of Attorney and Medical Powers of Attorney. She is experienced in dealing with the difficult and often complex issues arising from Testamentary matters where there are second partners and blended families and complex business structures.

Margaret is very experienced in defacto disputes and litigation relating Part IV of the Wills and Probate Act and provides advice as to the likely outcome of proposed litigation and during the litigation process keeps her clients informed at all stages.
