Mark is a prominent Family lawyer who was admitted to practise in 1988.  He is a Senior Associate with Marshalls & Dent, specialising as an Independent Children’s Lawyer work and in litigation concerning children’s welfare matters.

Mark regularly appears at both the Family Court and the Federal Magistrates Court and is well known by court staff and judicial officers.

Mark assisted in rewriting the chapter concerning children in the Springvale Legal Service Manual and often receives private referrals from the legal profession to act as an Independent Children’s Lawyer where legal aid is not available.

In addition to the above specialities, Mark is a founding member of the Executive Committee of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Children and Youth Issues Committee.
